As a retired health professional I can only say that this is what a hospital should be. I couldn't fault anything about them - from pre-assessment, reception, admission (hernia op), surgery to post op care. Going into hospital for anything is an anxious time, but I was put as much at ease by a truly superb staff, from first walking in the door to leaving, as is humanly possible. A bad experience as a child had left me terrified of going in for even the simplest procedure, but by the time I left, the surgical team (under Prof. Lloyd), the nursing and care staff had completely changed all that. The hospital was spotlessly clean, well organised, comfortable, thorough and superbly professional - food's good too. A brilliant, first rate experience.

I recently attended The Spire in Leicester for a keyhole operation. I cannot praise enough the level of care and support provided by every member of the team who looked after me pre-op with assessments and tests and then during some uncomfortable hours after the op prior to discharge the following day. My first ever hospital procedure and I was totally at ease the whole way through. Thank you so much everyone for your care and dedication.

I received treatment on December 11th for a hernia repair operation performed by Professor Lloyd.
The care from all of the hospital staff was outstanding, and everyone went out of their way to put me at ease at a very anxious time.
There are too many people to thank, but everybody does an amazing job (the guy who pushed me down to theatre was reassuring me and even came back after the op to check I was ok). Fantastic people and top class care, the Hospital should be very proud of all of their staff.
I would recommend Spire Hospital Leicester 100%.
